Dr. Emily Plasker is a second generation chiropractor from Marietta, Georgia. She grew up with regular chiropractic care as a focal point of her lifestyle and attributes her health and wellbeing to having a nervous system that functions at optimum allowing her body to adapt to life’s daily stresses.
Dr. Emily has always enjoyed learning about the human body.
She has a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado. While living in Boulder, she interned with the Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Project where she worked with people suffering from an array of nervous system issues. There she became aware of how your quality of life is directly related to the health of your spine and nervous system. She graduated from Life University in December 2017. She graduated 3rd in her class Summa Cum Laude and received awards for representing chiropractic philosophy and vitalism.
Dr. Emily has a passion for working with pregnant women and is certified in the Webster Technique. She believes pregnant women should be informed and empowered about their bodies innate abilities to give birth. She loves working with kids starting from their first breath of life by making sure that their spine and nervous system are free of injury from the pregnancy and birth process. During her time at Life University she interned at one of the largest pediatric chiropractic practices in the state of Georgia. She also went on service trips to Haiti and Mexico where she helped hundreds of kids, moms, dads, and grandparents achieve greater levels of health and vitality through chiropractic care.
When Dr. Emily is not in the office she enjoys hiking, doing yoga, skiing, rock climbing, reading, baking yummy healthy desserts, playing with her dog, listening to live music, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Dr. Jacob Plasker
Dr. Jacob is a board certified chiropractic neurologist and second-generation chiropractor who can personally attest to the power of chiropractic care. When he was ten-months old, Dr. Jacob suffered a head injury that left him partially paralyzed. Doctors said that he would never walk or talk. Through regular chiropractic care, Dr. Jacob defied the grim prognosis and dedicated his life to understanding the human nervous system so that he can deliver the same exceptional care that has allowed him to thrive today. Dr. Jacob’s case has been published in multiple publications, and he has spoken to both professional and lay audiences all over the country about the power of chiropractic.
During his time at Life University, Dr. Jacob served as the vice president for the Life Functional Neurology club where he gave weekly lectures on the complex structure and function of the human nervous system to students and doctors alike. He also attended the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies where he received his training in functional neurology amassing over 400 hours in advanced neurological diagnosis and treatment. Upon graduation he was presented with the Chiropractic Philosophy Distinction award for his demonstration of profound understanding of the adaptability of the human nervous system. Dr. Jacob has a true passion for patient care and has helped patients immensely with a range of complex neurological disorders including Concussion/traumatic brain injury, post-stroke rehabilitation, vertigo, peripheral neuropathy, and more.
In addition to chiropractic neurology, Dr. Jacob’s other passions include hiking, tennis, snowboarding, chess, and traveling.
